The link says that technology helps our lives. It says that everyone haves laptops and they are easy to carry, and that teachers can give instructions or teach via laptops, and it will benefit both teachers and students, and create an entertaining environment.

The impact is that, to start with, less paper will be consumed. It will also improve the education of students because they will be more organized and a more successful way of achieving information.

Search Engines are used to search for information, images, videos, etc. based on a pattern recognition. These Search Engines contain information from web pages, and using a crawler it searches these query in the index. The result of this search will then appear as a small description of the webpage and the link of that page.

The impact of search engines is that it is very helpful to look for information, and it will help in education, because when someone needs to get information he can get into a search engine to get it quickly and efficient.

A tutorial is a learning tool. They teach something or how to use something by a series of steps. Most software programs have a tutorial.

Tutorials can be used for education or for business. It is useful because they are helpful for people with different skill levels. These tutorials teach people to do something they don´t know how to.

Technology in Education

a) A password-protected web site starts with an initial screen that asks you to fill in your username and password.

b) Two IT features that a computer user should have in order to access this site is any kind of Internet Browser and an Internet Connection.

c) The new website could improve student learning because students wont loose their studying materials, also, students usually spend most of their time on the computer and would study more frequently, because sometimes the hardest part of studying is starting. If all the information is given to the students online they will be sure they aren't missing any information.

d) The teachers will require IT skills to apply this way of teaching, and it will be hard for some. Teachers will have to spend more time in the computer, but it will be an easier way of teaching. Teachers with poor IT skills will not be able to upload information or to even understand this way of teaching. This will be a challenge to those teachers because they will have to compete to those who have a good IT skill, this could put their jobs in risk.

The game can be applied on mathematics to study probability to find the number of outcomes.

This game gives many different examples of probability and checks the answer, if it is correct it will say it is correct, and if it is wrong it gives the option to read an explanation of how it is done. I think it should be applied because it is a good practice, and if the student gets it wrong he learns how to do it.

The teacher will assess this game because there are two options after solving a problem, one that is “submit”, that it says if the answer was correct or not, and if not it offers an explanation, or another option that is “submit and finish”, that shows which skill was practiced, the time spent doing all the exercises, and how many out of how many problems the student got correct. That is how the teacher can assess the student, by checking his “submit and finish” option.

Comment:
                     I think that using hardware in schools, classrooms, really helps a lot but schools don't actually need technology to teach.  It is true that it's easier to look for information in a computer where it only takes you seconds to get the things need, but the best way to learn right now is by someone standing in front of you and explaining and interacting with you.

Technology is also a way that teachers can enhance their instruction and differentiate learning. Teachers are using laptops to incorporate blogging, podcasts, interactive quizzes, and online textbooks into their instruction. Not only will it improved the learning and teaching methods but will also create a more fun and interactive environment for teachers and students. Also, with the use of laptops in school the amount of paper being used can be greatly diminished. Results from the second of a three-year study at Henricho County high school showed a noticeable improvement in students’ history, biology, and chemistry test scores.

1) Tutorials are guides or instructions to learn or to do something. Wizards are interactive guides or instructions to learn or to do something. The responsibility for training, between an individual and an organization, is of the individual because a company will not hire someone with no previous knowledge, except that the organizations agree to teach the individual. IT companies need to consider global and cultural diversity when preparing training and tutorial software to include many languages. Organizations should provide training when implementing a change for the workers to have a better knowledge. Tutorial software are guides or instructions to learn or to do something, wizards and assistants are special types of tutorials, they are interactive guides or instructions to learn or to do something. Help menu and help features could be frequently asked questions or instructions. To design and create a product, wizards, assistants or online assistants could be used to get instructions in how to do it.

2) The consequences of tutorials after they spread are that many people can loose their jobs, such as teachers, because people learn via this tutorials. Also, more people become capable for some jobs by learning from tutorials and can replace other people. People can get cheaper learning using tutorials therefore there is more access to learning.

Future of Search Engines

The future of search engines is going to change drastically, the traditional web searchers will be replaced by the non-traditional searchers that will not have a text box, it will search by using audio searchs, image-recognition search, location-based searchs, social searchs, barcode searchs, realtime searchs, suggestive searchs, etc. and it will probbably will take place predominately on mobile devices.
